The Association aims to:
- maintain 100% village membership and
reduce crime levels in the locality;
- encourage neighbours to keep watch over
each others property and their immediate surroundings and
to report anything suspicious to their Co-ordinator or
police;
- keep the community informed of any
criminal activity in the area;
- increase the awareness of members and
their families of how to avoid being a target for
criminals;
- deter criminals from visiting the area by
making them aware that a Neighbourhood Watch is active by
displaying door and street signs.
Funds raised by the Association will be used
to:
- purchase warning signs and other
deterrents to be fitted in the area;
- purchase security marking equipment for
use by members; assist the elderly with door viewers and
chains;
- publish newsletters and information
bulletins to keep members informed.
